Hi, I’m Bernie, a single mum passionate about nature and wildlife. I’ve started a volunteer gardening group at Tehidy Rose Garden to save it from being overtaken by nature. This rose garden, once managed by Lady Basset’s family, is a piece of history.
I’m working with Cormac and his volunteer team at Tehidy Park, but the rose garden needs more intensive care than they can provide. After a difficult personal loss, I’ve fallen behind on the garden’s schedule. We need to install 12ft posts for our climbing roses on February 20th—before they begin to grow too much!
We’re providing all the equipment, risk assessments, insurance, and refreshments! All we need is volunteers to lend a hand on the 20th, and maybe bring a friend or colleague along. This is a beautiful project that just needs more hands to save a piece of our heritage.
