Post Installation day at Tehidy Rose Garden

URGENT!!! HELP NEEDED!! DESPERATE TIMES CALL FOR DESPERATE MEASSURES!! Hey everyone! I'm Bernie a single mum with a passion for nature and wildlife , and great ideas for a project , but my chronic illness and life keep making me stall. I've started a volunteer gardening group at Tehidy Rose Garden, to try to save it from being taken over completely by nature. It's the original rose garden of Lady Basset from way back when Tehidy Estate was owned by the Basset family. We're still digging into the history of it to discover how many generations of Lady Bassets actually managed it. Cormac runs a volunteer group who manage the main Tehidy country park side of things and the rose garden needs more intensive maintenance than what they can provide, so I asked to take on the project and set up a side quest of new volunteers. Unfortunately my father became very ill and passed away on Christmas day and I've not been able to stick to the schedual of works I have planned for the garden. We have an installation date planned for 20th February 2025 for getting some 12 ft posts into the ground ready to retrain our climbing roses onto. We need this done before they really start coming into much more growth. And , prior to a family activity day workshop we are planning there for the Easter holidays. Risk assessments , insurance etc is covered, equipment is provided, and refreshments too! What I would love more than anything , is for a load of people to magically drop me an email and say "Hey, I'm free on that Thursday, I'll come along and help you guys dig some holes and fulfill some goals, and i can maybe bring some friends or colleagues along too!" I'm starting to lose heart , and this is such a beautiful little project, it just needs more like minded people who want to save a bit of our heritage for the next generation.. I just don't know how to reach volunteers, I'm not big on social media etc. Please help me!!! I look forward to hearing from you all ASAP. Best wishes Bernie
