I moved to Plymouth from Surrey in 1983 to do my degree at Marjons. I have a partner, 2 adult children, and one gorgeous 2 year old granddaughter! I enjoy reading and going to films. I belong to a creative writing group and have written a lot of poetry and an illustrated children's book, and used to perform at spoken word nights, I hope to again! I play the drums and the ukulele, we had a band in the past and still do the occasional performance. We went to lots of festivals including Glastonbury many times. I have recently joined the Cancer Champions project and am involved in other health related voluntary work. I belong to walking groups which are so important for my physical and mental health. My favourite animal is the horse, I used to ride a lot and had my own horse for a few years. I worked with food charities before having some health problems and had to give most of that work up. Following the seasons of nature is very important to me. I also love steam trains!
