Are you passionate about improving people’s mental health, emotional wellbeing and sense of belonging?
Interested in achieving these through the therapeutic medium of gardening and being with Nature?
The Horticultural Therapy Trust (HTT) is looking to appoint a Trustee to its Board. As a small charity, HTT has been working in Plymouth for thirteen years to support people from all backgrounds inclusively, challenged by moderate to severe mental health issues. HTT is participant led and so all decisions and solutions are reflected with participants and our diverse group of volunteers, staff and trustees, as a team.
As a Trustee you will attend Board meetings once a quarter and work with your fellow Trustees to:
- Review progress towards achievement of the charity’s aims
- Offer advice and generate ideas to address problems encountered by staff and volunteers
- Monitor the charity’s income and expenditure
- Help develop strategies for the future success and direction of the charity
Being a Trustee is both a challenging and rewarding role and provides the opportunity for you to make a positive difference to people’s lives, to learn new skills and to discover people and places in Plymouth new to you. We welcome applicants from any background who have a commitment to the aims of HTT, are collaborative in approach and bring with them skills gained in professional or lived experience. This is a voluntary post but all reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
Interested persons are invited to contact Paul Keller, Chair of Trustees on 07412 685776 (text only please) or [email protected] to discuss the position. More information on HTT can be found at https://horticultural-therapy-trust.org/
